Once you have chosen a policy to apply for the insurance company will need to assess your application based on the information from the application form. If you have medical issues or a non-standard occupation the premium that the company is able to offer may differ from the quoted premium.

The cost of your chosen policy is not guaranteed until you receive an offer of acceptance from the insurance company that you have chosen.

The application process can take several weeks to complete, generally 2-8 weeks. The timescale is dependant on how much additional information the insurance company requires. They may need to request information from your doctor and in some circumstances you may need to attend a medical.
