How To Apply

The method of applying will be different depending on which product you choose. When you carry out a quotation you will see a list of providers with various premiums, sorted by price.

• If you choose a Aviva Simplified Life policy you will need to go here to link through to their website to complete your application online or use the link in the top right corner of the quotation page.
• If you choose a Legal & General policy you will need to click “Next” after getting a quote. This will link to a new page which will ask you for more information. You also select when you would like Legal & General to contact you, allowing 24 hours notice. They will then phone you to complete the application. Cavendish Online will also send you a confirmation email with a link to pay our one-off fee of £35.00.
• For all other companies you will need to follow the steps below:

Step 1
When you have decided which policy(s) you want and obtained an application form(s) either via the quotation system on the Get a Quote page or from the company itself.

Step 2

1. Please fully complete the application form(s), signing both the form and direct debit mandate   where appropriate. If you require help with completing the form please contact us. If you have not been apply to download the correct forms please click here.
2. Ensure that you send our fee (usually £35.00), which should be payable to Cavendish Online Limited.
3. Please complete and sign our Client Declaration (a PDF file).

Step 3
Please return:

1. The completed application form(s) including the direct debit mandate.
2. Signed cheque payable to Cavendish Online Ltd for our fee.
3. Our Client Declaration, incorporating the Execution Only Statement.

Step 4 (once you apply)

1. Our administration department will forward your application to the relevant company who will then underwrite the policy. This process can take anything from 2 to 8 weeks, depending on the additional information required (medicals etc. where necessary).
   We will keep you fully informed at all stages via email.
2. We will forward the acceptance from the life assurance company, which will request a start date for the policy. Once this is received by Cavendish Online we will ask the insurer to your policy and your cover will commence.
   
   Until this time you are not covered.
   
3. On completion, your policy document is forwarded to you.
