How long will it take to get cover in place?

You can secure cover in as little as 20 minutes through the Cavendish Online website.

If the insurer doesn't need any further information once you've submitted your application (for example, a report from your GP), you may be able to start the policy immediately. 

However, if the insurer requests further information in order to underwrite your application it may take longer. Having medical disclosures, a dangerous occupation or hobbies may cause the insurer to need additional information.
